10/22 bull barrel from ebay. Junk?

Personally I would not , but it that's just me take a chance n try it , it is your money not mine after all . In my head Id rather spend the extra money on a brand of barrel like bartlein barrels or krieger something I know is going to be good a named brand for all you know that from eBay is garden brand aluminum made to look like a barrel . best of luck what ever you decide to do .

Thank you all.
I also am sceptical to because of the price.
I was wondering if anybody had any actual experience with them.
I found their webside.

But I have heard of Green Mountain and I seem to remember them having a pretty good reputation.
Keep thinking.... Do I put another $160 into the 10/22 or do I get a bolts 22....?
Eventually I will have both.
It is a little easier to buy a fancy barrel than a bolt gun. Seems like a bolt gun worth having starts at around $600

I actually have one of those barrels. Remarkably it shoots ok from what I recall.

I had it on an old junker that someone gave me odds and ends to.

If you want to try it out it's all yours. Please note that the barrel is really heavy.

Mine shoots great for a 10/22 about .2 or 3 at 50 and around 3/4 at 100 with good match ammo center x and sk long range past 100 I shoot steel. I’m easily able to hit a 6 inch plate at 300. Call green mt barrels they sell cosmetic blemish barrels for cheap I payed 75 bucks for mine they don’t advertise them on there site. I also dropped it into a victor titan stock with the rear anchor and put in the bx trigger I’m into the gun for around 575. You don’t have to spend a fortune to make them shoot.

Now you are speaking my language. Half price AND shoots good. I will e-mail them. 👍
Ya'll are awesome.

So Feddersen looks real good too.

Iamjoho, I looked at the crown, yea, pretty rough looking.

The ebay one says made in America and is stainless. After having a stainless Criterion on my 243, I would rather have stainless on anything I use a lot.

alamo5000, if it shot decent why did you take is off?

Again, thank you guys for your input.

I have two fedderson barrels. They flat out shoot. My kid has a Kidd on his and it also shoots well. Not quite to the level of the feddersons, but its an ultralight aluminum sleeved barrel. I think there are way better options listed in this thread than an unknown ebay barrel.

The cost of quality .22 RF ammo makes barrels look cheap. You can spend hundreds testing.
I’m sure there are a few great 10/22 accuracy builders. I went with KIDD. It surpasses my expectations and has from day one.

Trying to compare 18 inch barrels. Threaded
I looked up proof research. Barrels look to be $750.... Holy cow
Volquartsen is $350
Green mountain looks like $148, but there are several barrels with exact same specs, but different part numbers and prices.
Fedderson is $185, but its black. I have decided I really like stainless.
Kidd is $275
Whistlepig is $195, but is aluminum with a sleeve? Might be lighter but I don't think I want that.

The ebay barrel is a Revolution. They dont make an 18 that is threaded but not fluted. The 16 stainless threaded is $156.

I havn't had a chance to email or call Green Mountain yet. But the performance for the price that huntnh said, that seems to be the most performance for the money.

I am not in a rush, just looking to see how much barrel I can get for a reasomable price. I think $200 is a fair number.
Goal would be to shoot a few 22 matches with it. If I could stretch the range to 300 or 400 yards I would shoot an 22NRLX match.
The skinny factory barrel shoots ok and gave a decent group at 200. So to spend money on something else would have to be at least some sort of improvement.

Thanks everybody.
