10/22 mags

Re: 10/22 mags

I've had the BX-25, BC steel, and BC plastic lips. Of all three, the BX-25 feels the sturdiest. BC plastic lips chipped on me so I'll never use them again. The BC steel has given me no problems but doesn't seem as good as the BX-25.

All in all, just avoid the plastic lips.

Agree 100% with what is said here.

I've had the best luck with the new Ruger BX-25's.

Re: 10/22 mags

Have two butler creek steel lip mags. The feed lips are fine but the plastic surrounding the lips is starting to chip and stress fracture (like when you bend something made of resin based polymers and it turns milky white). All in all it still works, rarely has problems feeding and is the best mag you can buy for the 10/22...or atleast it was.

Buy the BX-25 and be done with it. Haven't shot one but fondled many. Very very stout construction and ruger firearms (in my experience) tend to work best with mags made by ruger.
