10/22 "match" trigger job

I'm working on a new rimfire build based on a 10/22. I've been looking around at higher end "match grade" trigger groups, but I think they're pretty pricey for a rimfire build. Has anybody had any expericance with Brown's Sporting Goods out of Oregon? He offers a complete tune-up of a customer's trigger group for about $85 or will sell you an already tuned group for $170. He claims to be able to bring trigger pull down to a crisp 2-2.5lbs with no creap.

For that kind of money, I'd let Clark custom handle it for me. They offer trigger jobs on your OEM trigger for $65 or their complete trigger job along with a Ruger OEM metal (not polymer) trigger guard for $135 and they are excellent with a crisp, clean 2.5lb single-stage pull.

About the best trigger money can buy in a 10/22 is the Kidd unit (single or two-stage depending on your preference). They are spendy as hell, but they are also phenomenal triggers:

You can buy a Power custom or similar "deluxe" trigger rebuild parts kit and DIY, but those kits will run you almost what a Clark complete unit will cost you, not counting your time/efforts to break down and redo your trigger with the new parts.

Randy at CPC http://www.ct-precision.com/ does incredible work. My 10/22 trigger still breaks at 2.25 lbs.

Check rimfire central. There are a lot of different trigger options that will get #2 and no creap.
