Rifle Scopes 10 MOA/IPHY test

I went and conducted the 10moa test I was reading about in the FAQ thread and I have a question. Why are the groups leaning to the right on the upper end of the test? I was using an AR15 (.223) 68g Hornady bullet. Test was at 100yards. I was using a Mueller 4.5-14X40 scope. [img:left]http://s1130.photobucket.com/albums/m533/92trk/[/img]

Severely canted optics and/or reticle is my guess

How did you level scope when mounting?

Using a string level and pretty much just fussing with it. It wasn't easy.

String level or plumb line?

Level the rifle and while its level check the verticle line of the reticle against a known vertical (plumb bob, building edge of a large building in teh distance, etc).

It was a small string level which, I placed on top of the turret. I placed the rifle on the mag well sitting it on a table that I checked to be level.

You will want to re-check the rifle/optics to ensure they are level. On another note, if your reticle is canted inside the scope, it doesn't matter how level the reticle is, the turret determines how the optics track.
