Does anyone own this rifle?

What ammo do you use? Will I be able to get accuracy out of supersonic ammo, such as 150 or 180 grain core-lokt?

The standard tactical has a 12'' rate of twist.

Faster imparted twist 1:10" vs. 1:12" is desirable for longer bullets (generally heavier) at supersonic velocity and range. Accuracy vs. Rem Core-Lokt is a separate topic. With that ultility of bullet, either twist-rate should work much the same. The relative barrel length between the two rifles you note should be a greater factor in stability at range than the two twist rates IMO.

A 1:10 twist barrel for a .308 will be fine for 150gr+ bullets. Now, with that said, I would use ANYTHING BUT Remington Core-lokt ammo as the measure of a rifle's true performance/capabilities!

Mine shoots sub MOA all day, no experience with Core-Lokt though. Mine likes SMK 168, 175 and barnes 168 match but doesn't like the 168 AMax much. A steady diet of hand loaded RE15 and either of the SMKs under 2650 are what gives the best consistency, anything faster and groups start opening up.

I have one: Lapua brass/standard CCi primers/175SMK over 44.2gr Varget= 2575fps single digit SD's and very tight groups.....

AS ALWAYS: This is safe in my gun but may not be in yours work up loads slowly.
