just cover the areas you want to keep black with tape including all your moving parts. base coat it. grab some pines or netting and hold it on the rifle while u spray different colors.
You cant mess it up, its an m-4, ive thrown these guns against tile walls and stood on them in a foot of water and mud. How many guys do you see running around iraq or afghanistan with perfectly painted weapons. Not many. The paint gets scraped and scratched and worn out and after that happens some of that black shows through, then it is considered to be a nice paint job. These are tools made to take life away it doesnt have to be pretty. just slap some paint on there. any color is better than black, its the only unatural color in camo.
