Wondering why Burgers hybrids hit 8" higher then the 140 Eld @ 1000 yds ? Zeroed with the eld @100yds m.v. 2820
I check the 100-yard zero with the berger hybrids and they hit 1/4" high & 1/4" left. Would the 1/4" higher Zero be that high @ 1000 yards ?
I think it is the bearing surface ? the eld has a very long bearing surface compared to the hybrids . I have not Chrono the 140 hybrids I believe the hybrids muzzle velocity is a lot higher then 2820m.v.

Thanks

A 1/4 inch difference in zero height with same bullet and speed is about 3 inches at 1000.
Without documented speeds on both bullets your just guessing on the come up differences.
I used to shoot hybrids, I launched a couple thousand of them.
Excellent bullet with excellent consistency at distance.
When the Amax came out I switched to them because I got similar results but considering cheaper.
Then the ELDM’s came out and there also cheaper with an even better BC.
I can say I do think the Bergers are still more consistent at distance but not enough for me to dump the eldm’s.

I don't think a 1/4 inch difference at 100 yards would be 8 inches at 1000 yards. There had to be other variables affecting the shot. Did you dial the elevation or use holdover?
