My 15 year old son, Mini Sam, busted a nice one this morning on the VA eastern shore w his T/C Omega, big assed deer.
Kids a heck of a hunter and a crack shot to boot.
Makin' me proud.

Very nice buck for the young man. Kudos!! I taught Hunter Education for the Sheriff's Dept for 15yrs. I absolutely love seeing our children grow up and diligently pursue the tradition we all love so much!!

Interesting hunt 12/17 at the same property. Hunted all day, nothing, at ~5 minutes past sunset climbed down and started to take my API off the tree. Looked up and saw a tail flick. Grabbed my rifle, looked through the scope, saw bone, then the deer w a pronounced limp.
Assumed he was wounded/suffering so dropped him.
Turns out his front leg was off at the "knee" and healed over. Had to be a tough go for him. Would take a missing back leg over a front if I had a choice.
His body, for a 3.5 or 4.5 old, was more comperable to a medium doe. Prettiest coat on any deer I have ever harvested, almost couldn't bring myself to move him.
14 points.

Jon, he's onto a bigger buck in the same spot, has 2 more hunting days left to take him, got my fingers crossed.
