155 Amax vs Lapuas

OK someone here has tried the A max as it is 10-11 bucks cheaper per 100. so how did it work?

I have ran lapuas exclusively but the price keeps going up and my 308 loads are closing in on 338 prices.

Looked at the price and they were $39 per 100 like the Lapuas. Mid south listed A Max at $25 and change. I am going to try one of the A Max in my Gassers for sure and possibly in the long guns.

Just bought 1000 powder valley $286. 155L have you checked my, Graff and Sons, and EBCO. I know its a bulk price but I don't thing price is comming down

Haven't got them to shoot well enough in my reloads yet, but a box of the Hornady factory 155s DOES shoot quite well and has an insanely low ES in velocity, fully 2800 out of a 22-inch M1A. Using 4064 and Varget, switching from WLRs to CCI 200s.

I'm working on the new Palmas from Sierra now. 168g A-max shoots good in my rifle. Here lately, I have to shoot what I can find available.

I've shot both of them out of my FN A3G. They shoot pretty comparably. As my supply of Lapua goes down, it seems my supply of Amax's goes up. Maybe its because I'm just not a good enough shooter to see the difference down range, but I'm beginning to see the difference in my checking account, and I'm still having a blast at the range.

The main problem with the AMAX's is the BC is no where close to that of the Scenars.

powder valley has the lapua 155 for cheaper than what you have found the price to be. If you buy them in bulk they would be a little cheaper yet. You are not going to find them anywheres cheaper than the amax. I loaded 168gr amax's in my ai because I was tired of fiddling with the lapua and also the cost was getting on my nerves. The amax's shoot great in mine but I have not tried them past 300 yards. Loaded lapua 308 are a rediculous price.
