15x binos with reticle?

I have only seen 10’s. I looked at these 10x Binos at the Leupold display at the Best of Texas PRS match.

A reticle in the 15X Swaro’s would be the bomb

SWFA makes a 12x32 pair with this reticle:

Well, the SWFA are pretty decent binos. I think they're more field-oriented, though. The glass is actually quite good, though it's not "flashy" and bright like some. I can pretty easily watch trace even offhand. The detail/quality is better that it initially appears.
They're durable as all get out. I don't worry a bit about knocking them around. The adjustments are really good- they stay put, but are very smooth and easy to manipulate.
They don't have a tripod mount. So you'd have to use something aftermarket for that.
The reticle is super handy for getting a quick idea of target size. It's also great for scanning in a field role, determining rough sizes of objects, clearings, etc.
Field of view is good for a small bino.
I think they shine for field use, and are a good secondary set for matches. That's how I've been using mine. My Leicas are still my go-to, but I definitely think the SWFA are an excellent value and offer a very specific something with the reticle. SWFA has a great deal for a 12x scope and 12x binos going on now.

im guessing the reticle is 1mil hash marks? or is it .5mils hashes? hard to find a good close up of the reticle.

Just picked up a Vortex Recon15 monocular with .5 mil reticle for target size, building a mount for it & my bino's.
Not a bad deal for the $, but wished part of the reticle was finer. Thought about using an old rifle scope for this purpose but ran across this little spotter.

for matches...i have the 15x56 meoptas but a reticle would be nice....i had a pair of 1042R steiners they were nice just a little under powered.
Sounds like you already made a purchase but I heard "a rumor" that Meopta was going to put a reticle in their 8x and 10x meostars as soon as this summer (then again, I wonder how this covid shit is affecting that). The guy told me they wanted to see how the 8s and 10s were received before putting a reticle in the 12s and 15s. He sounded uncertain about the 12s. Maybe I'm just biased towards my own tastes, but I dont see much point in a pair of 8s with a reticle for the "average user". 15s on the other hand would be right up my alley. If they end up putting a reticle in the 12s (and not the 15s) I might consider buying a pair.

i had a pair of the steiners 1042T and the glass was awesome but just under powdered....i wish someone would put a reticle in the 15x i think it would be simple enough and if they kept the prices reasonable they would sell....or how about maven put a reticle in their 18x binos....an L .2mil hash in the lower left side.

ive looked at the monocular a few times but then im back to looking through 1 eye...i also thought about what your doing with mounting it to the binos or bino mount but again looking through one eye...im hoping the 12x SWFAs will work well....if the glass is like their scopes they will be nice its just a question of power.

@47guy

Anyway you can give feedback on the ease of milling with the SWFA? Perhaps a “through the optic“ picture?

The one thing holding me back is the 1 mil spacing with marks every 5 mils.

yes but keep in mind im not a review guy and still type with 1 finger...well 2 some times.

the 1mil hash marks bother me as well but if the glass is good and theres enough power ill at least be able to give a better call on the correction.

Here's a through-the-left-lens pic. Holy crap that's tough to get.

The hashes are 1mil. When spotting on targets, it gives much better feedback than using no reticle. I normally shoot with guys who use a MOA reticle in a Razor spotter on 40x. With that, we can call to the 1/2MOA. These binos aren't designed to have that sort of utility.
That said, it makes quick corrections MUCH more accurate and easier than using no reticle. And for a general idea of target size, it's also great. Much better than just looking at a 12x magnified image and guesstimating what it'll look like through a scope. Works for FOV, too, if you know what your scope FOV will be.

The house is 445yds.
The mountain a couple of miles...second house pic and mountain are 2x on my phone.

so the SWFA SS 12x32 are pretty impressive but then SWFA has always had pretty nice glass.

2 things I don’t like...the eye cups suck but are useable...twist out cups would of been nice and they are not threaded for a mount but I’ll order a RRS clinch mount tomorrow after I talk to the guys at mile high.

I’ll try to get out Saturday and play with them more but just the little I’ve played with them they are worth every penny of $399 IMO.

here’s a 17” square at 1082yds through the SWFAs...the image is a lot better than the crappy cell pic...BUT....this is where you really start to see the difference in glass compared to higher end stuff...the SWFAs are still pretty nice and usable...im blind in one eye and cant see out of the other but for me the focus is a little finicky ...it was chilly this morning so im not sure how they will do when its hot/mirage but at this point i still think they are good for what they cost.

I'm not sure why no one has came out with a good set of 15x with a reticle yet. Swfa has the right idea, but would like to see them do a set with thier hd glass, which is actually really good.

HEY SWAROVSKI, LEUPOLD, LEICA, MEOPTA, SOMEONE!!! TAKE NOTE!! 15X W/ A SIMPLE MIL RETICLE!!!
