I would like to find a match with a 17 HMR class. I know most will say it is because of ammo availability. I have a really tight shooter and would like to do some sort of competition with it.

Your options are to find a local club running open rimfire matches
or internet matches if you want to see how you compare to others.
RFC CZ forum runs a monthly 100/200 yard challenge.
New targets to attempt each month.
Open to all brands of rimfire, not just CZ's.

It isn't about ammo availability, 99.9% of the time, as noted above, it is about target damage.

I run a couple monthly rimfire matches here in Southern Colorado, one a belly match and the other a PRS/NRL match.

I have had a few people flip me shit because I don't allow 17s. I explain I don't want my targets getting destroyed. After I tell them I cant afford to spend a grand or two converting my mild steel over to AR-400/500, they get quiet.

If I had more than a few people asking for it, I would phase out mild steel and start a 17 Division. But the demand isn't there.

Thank you for the information. I will look into that

My local range is in the same boat. I may make the targets for the mag rimfire calibers to play in the game as well.
