Any thoughts on replacing my Nikon 3-9x40 prostaff with the Weaver Grand Slam 3-10x40? Does anyone dial for windage/elevation when using their .17? What sort of Mil adjustment would I be looking at to get it out to 250yrds?
Anyway, I'm interested in something I can dial dope on for my .17 that won't break the bank and the review I saw on the grand slam sounded pretty good- maybe you guys have some good input or even how you're setting up your guns (zero range, max range you shoot, any other tricks) and what your dope tends to be.
Not trying to turn a 150yrd max varmint gun into a 300yrd hunter, but holds with a duplex reticle just don't seem to be cutting it for me beyond about 150 when I'm trying to kill shotgun hulls or paper!
