Any input on this? The loads I have been shooting are .020 from the lands. Getting ready to toy with some new loads/seating. Just wondered if anyone had a particular distance they use. I plan to try several to see what my rifle likes.

I load my 175 smks with 43gns of varget at 2.785-2.790 overall lenght.It seem to like the jump in my rifles.

I have been shooting .06 off the lands, after incorrectly measuring and thinking i was .02 off them. I have had good results with that jump though, but I still have to try some loads that are closer.

0.25 inches here. Lapua brass, 44.6gr Varget, 175 SMK.

Mine is set at .010 off with Winchester brass, 175 MK, 45.7g RL15 and Im 2.90 OAL. Rem 700 varmint. I dont seperate bullets according to length so my OAL varies .010 +/-. Dont have any issues with loading.
