Hello,
I have a thousand or so Lapua 185gr D46 bullets.
I was wondering if these would be accurate through a 24" 1/12 twist L-W barrel? I know longer bullets like faster twists and these things are pretty long.

Here's a sample pic:

Re: 185gr and 1/12 twist?

Im currenly playing around with 48.2 of RL-17 with 185 berger BT's with Hornady brass 2.885-2.89 coal out of an FN SPR. They seem to do a little less than 3/4 moa at 200. They also seem to do pretty good with 43.8 varget as well.

Hope that helps ya. I would load them up and try them.

It depends on what you are using >308 or 300 wsm of course the faster you push the bullet the better it will stabilize . Out of a .308 I think maybe up to 600-800 yards it will be fine anything over that you might have some issues when going sub sonic. I would suggest the worked up load and take some out in the field and try it up to 1 k.
