So I have found a node that is measuring .372 5 shots with the 190 Berger and RL26 running 2840FPS verified with my Lab Radar and the Oehler 35P. My issue is my drop at 420 yards doesn't match the ballistic software. Using the G1 or G7 BC Applied Ballistics and Bullet flight are showing 6.25 moa but actual is 7.75. I have re-verified my 100 yard 0 again but I am struggling to find the answer.

890 Feet altitude, 29.976 inHg 72.8% Humidity. 1-10 twist barrel. looking for some thoughts. I'm sure it's me but not sure where to go. This rifle does shoot though.

I did but my wife just came home and swears that target is 470 yards since we shoot there all the time. I ranged it numerous times though. If she is right I will never hear the end of it. Scope height is 2.15 inches center to center. ATACR 20 moa base.

Plugged your numbers in to "Shooter" app. 420 yards is 6.6 MOA and 470 is 8.0 MOA. I hate to say it but a new range finder is cheaper than a new wife...

Only kidding of course. Is your range finder set to yards or meters?

Others smarter than me may need to chime in.

I have two range finders, a set of swaro bino's and a sig 2200 which is what I was using. I think I was picking up grass in front of the target. Like I said, she will point this out a year from now! :(

I built this gun for fun just to see what a 30 06 can do. I am pretty impressed with it so far. 22 inch Proof Barrel with a APA fat bastard brake seems to do the trick. Really impressed with RL26 so far.

I will try to post a picture of it. I did the bedding myself which turned out ok but learned a lot and could do a better job next time. It shoots great though now. I am using 215 primers but will try 210 also to see if there is any difference. My 5 shot group was 2849, 2840, 2842, 2839, and 2842. Not to bad for the first time out with that load. 62.2 grains RL26, Lapua brass and the 190 Berger hunting VLD seems to be a great load in this rifle. The 22 inch barrel is not handicapping it to much yet.

That is a good looking setup. I have a 30-06 as well and I am thinking of working up a new load. I might have to give ol' RL26 a try. If I can find it that is. Haha
