Rifle Scopes 1st medium range tactical scope help for 300 WM

Some of the scope options I have thrown in the air are

Nikon Monarch X 4-16x50 or 2.5-10x44 30mm
Nikon Monarch 5-20x44 1"
SWFA SS 10x42 or 16x42 30mm

I will be using or would like to use a duplex reticle dialing in my shots at different ranges. I would like to eventually make it out to 1000 yds. Any insight people can give me would be great

Get a 10 or 20 MOA base and pick whichever one you like. The Win Mag has a very flat trajectory.

But first, practice shooting at the 100's till you are almost hiting cloverleafs. Fact of the matter is, most of the people I see at the range can't shoot worth a darn. Going to 1K yards would be like going to the moon for 95% of the guys I see.

Unless you will always be at a range and a certain distance, I would recommend something variable. Some people dont mind them, but I cant stand a fixed power.

If you intend to range at all, you should consider a mil dot or a variant of a mil dot.

Check out the FFP Falcon Menace scopes. Either the 4-14x44 or the 5-25x56.

I have never shot a 300 but I have shot a light weight 7mag. I am building a heavy 300 so I would imagine it would even eachother out. I was shooting cloverleafs at 100 yds out of my 7mag with a factory barrel. My 300 will be sporting a heavy barrel

If you are hitting cloverleafs with your 7mm, then you should be able to do the same with your Win Mag, if the load is amenable.

Here is the ballistic table of one of my chronied 300 Win Mag loads:

From the numbers, you see the come up at 1K is 25.1 with 300 zero or 28.9 with 100 zero. So any of the scopes with a 20MOA base will do with room to spare to go farther.
