2,000 yds with 16.5” CM

I posted this within the bolt action section, but perhaps better suited here;
2,000 Yard Range Day

Switchy 5-13 mph winds and difficult spotting conditions made things tough, but after learning the wind, 2nd round impact at 2,000 yards with a 16.5” DT SRS Covert and factory Hornady ammo!

2nd round hit but what about 3rd and 4th and so on. How many hits out of how many attempts?

Yeah, so I wasn’t really even expecting the results I saw, so as mentioned in the linked post, I hit the 1,760 yard target 1 time in 12 rounds. I then fired 2 rounds at the 2,000 yard target; first round, spotted miss and made the correction for an impact. I was extremely satisfied with the consistency of both factory Hornady Match ammo, as well as the short barreled DT.

Good shooting. That's a poke with that setup! Always fun to let a few fly at distances with the tool at hand. Fun, that's for sure.

Good info here. I’m on the fence for a short barrel for my desert tech. Just cant make my mind up.....most of my shorter barrel experiences sucked accuracy wise but I probably didn’t give them enough time.
