This first one started as a $505 SPS i got off of gun broker, added a B&C stock, cut and crowned the barrel myself, Had her threaded and added the bolt knob and the Badger DBM.

The loss in velocity from a full 26" barreled 700 is about 180 fps with my 175s. With the can i get 2560 fps. which puts me at 1k in 42 MOA. In comparison my 26" hits 1k at 32 MOA. Both are real time come ups.

The next one is a Noveske AR-10 build. I bought everything seperate and pieced it together in about 30 min and sent it off to the paint shop.. I dont have the come ups for this one yet.. gunna have to wait till i get back home in Feb. I did get a chance to tote it around on opening weekend and only got a skunk with it.. But i got it QUIETLY... BTW was hunting hogs..

i know the 700 could be a little more sexy with a black scope, but its pretty sexy as a light weight brush gun when i have her dressed in the HS stock with the same camo pattern... may add pics in Feb. I also have a tan webbed B&C that may go a little better with that particular setup, you know... match the bra with the panties...

Maybe need to move this to the reloading thread, but anyone have a proven AR recipe in 308? This gas gun really chewed up the brass with my normal bolt load.. Extractor was really trying to rip the rims off.. Originally meant for her to be a 800yd gun anyways, but If I can stretch it out to 1k, then why not.. Im using 175s with 45gr. Varget. Anyone have anything better?

Have you considered restricting your gas flow?

Oh Ive considered it, problem is, cant find an adjustable gas block for that caliber/barrel. Noveske has some pretty sweet switchblocks for 5.56 and 6.8 but they do not offer the 308 block yet. As soon as I find one that is low pro enough to fit under the noveske hand guard and can be adjusted easliy enough, ill slap that on there and probably alleviate most of my brass destruction.

Try 43.0grs. of Varget with the 175s. Ran some through an Armalite I had and it wasn't to bad on the brass and really put them in tight at 200yds. I have found with Varget anything 42.0-43.5 works really well in bolt and gas guns. Its a keep it simple load. Full Lenght resize, cci-200lr primer, winchester brass, 175smk at 2.800" and your done. Good Luck.
