26.0gr of BL-C(2), wolf small rifle magnum primer, 32gr Nosler Ballistic, working on fire forming LC 08 brass, I have to snap the barrel shut a couple times with some force because I have to much of a crush fit for fireforming but it works.
The wife went with me to the desert to look for arrowheads and shoot some p-dogs from the truck. We didnt find any points but I blew the heck out of a couple p-dogs with my Contender with the 14" MGM 20 Tactical barrel on. I dont know velocity of this load but its shooting one hole at 50 yards with a 2x scope on it and its a lazer beam from 25 yards to 160 yards, put the cross hairs on and touch the trigger....things just blow up. I was ringing the 300 yard plate with it yesterday at the range pretty consistantly.
65 yard shot which sent this dog 4 feet straight up and blew chunks in every direction.
107 yard shot, the wife was watching him with the binos when I shot she said his head just disappeared and blood was splattered on the back of the hole.
I knocked one off his mound at 155 yards but when I went out for a pic he had worked his way into the hole. But there were p-dog chunks and blood all the way down. I killed a couple others and I think the wife might of got a video of one of them, Ill see if I can get a couple more pics from her phone.
I really liked my Savage 204 when I had it but after loosing a soild hit coyote with it I lost faith, but for some reason I am looking really hard at building an AR in 20 Tactical.
