I have been shopping for a scope for my SPR(ish) upper and decided that I really wanted to do something a little different and get a dedicated target/varmint upper. I am looking at 20"bbl since I already have a case that it would fit it in, and I have a soft spot for 20" bbl's after using an M-16 for so long.

Most of the AR's I own right now are Noveske, but I have owned a slew of others and am looking for a new maker (not a slight to Noveske, I really like them). The two I am considering are MSTN and JP. I know they are both top of the line and the MSTN will be more of a custom build and cost a good bit more, but was curious if anyone had some pics or a story to sway me one way or another. I have researched this thoroughly, just want to see some results from actual owners.

Re: 20" Upper

In my experience, both Wes'/MSTN's and JP Enterprises' rifles/uppers are excellent, easily sub-MOA accurate with proper ammo and in capable hands, and utterly reliable.

It really comes down (as to between those two options) which one you can get that best meets your needs/wants and budget. Wes and co. can build you basically anything you want with any number of different parts, options, accessories, etc. JP offers an excellent selection of already "optioned" models, as well as some "customizing" to an extent. Both companies will stand behind their work and will offer you either a complete rifle or an upper that will be as accurate (and likely more accurate) than you are (no offense intended).
