Has anyone played with these in a 300 win mag? I'm looking for a good hunting bullet that will preform decent a 500 yds. I have been playing with the 190 bergers but can't seem to get them to group below .750 @100yds. Thank You, Colby
Try 77 gr H-1000 and seat them at the lands. This load works with any 200 gr bullet in my 300 win. My best load is the 208 gr Amax or 210 Berger VLD w/ 76 gr H-1000. These are right around 2900 or so. I don't have the data in front of me.

Same. (velocity is about 2830 in my 22" barrel). Although the smk's are a lot more forgiving of jumping to the lands, so I have them loaded mag length (3.40"). The Amax's would not run unless they were just off the lands. RL22 gives me a little better accuracy in my rifle. 72g @ the above COAL. for the smk's. 70.5g for the 208 Amax loaded .010 off the lands.
Try the H1000 first. It seems to be more available right now, and it cleans up easier thatn RL22.
Keep in mind that some of this load data is pushing max load at high temps, so work up accordingly.
I shoot it in the 30-06. I cannot personally tell you what it does when it hits an animal but can tell you that they shoot great out of my 10 twist Krieger launched at 2830 FPS with 59.5 grains of RL22 in a Remington 30-06 case. 26" bbl length.
Sub-MOA is not a problem. Also I an interchange the load with the 200 SMK. I called Sierra and they confirmed three key things that allow this to happen - one, the bullet jacket is the same material and annealed the same. Two, the OD is the same. And three, the bearing surface of the Gameking is .015" shorter than that of the SMK.
Been shooting the 200smk at matches has a BC of .6
and the 200sgk a BC of .597 for hunting good bullet
elk and bear as well as deer...
Load is 76.5 RL-25, 215M, win brass flash holes and primer
pockets reamed out.
shot in 2 styers, 1903a3, and a savage tactical shot a sub min in these rifles ........All 300 Wins......Luck....
