2000 MR alternative

with Alliant poweders being scarce/expensive-is there an alternative 308 double based powder for some extra FPS for things like juggernauts/175+ 308 (winchester) bullets.

Haven’t compared to Alliant, but Staball 6.5 gave significant increases over H4350 in my 6.5cm load for my AR10s

CFE 223 works well in .308 with 175’s. Getting around 2550 fps in 16 inch semi-autos. 2630 fps in 20 inch bolt guns. That’s with 45 grains in LC brass. Could probably go a bit higher but it shoots well as is. I think hodgdons data tops out at around 47 grains in Winchester brass.

It is. Meters well and the claim is that it’s temperature stable, although I haven’t yet confirmed that.

I've shot a bit of 2000 MR in the 308 Win. with 175's. I also tested CFE 223 and found it to be very close to 2000 MR in charge weight and velocity. When I run out of 2000 MR and can't find any, I will be using CFE 223.

2000 MR is the powder for the 308 in 155 gr to 200 gr....more accurate than CFE223, better S/D, less heat sensitive, and more velocity. Get ya some...
