(5) because I could not find the one at the end of the blood trail.
I could find the blood and hair where it went upside down.
The blood trail ran out.
We saw an animal lie down in the open. Then it ran off, joined a herd, and ran for miles.
The guy I was hunting with is an archer, and he was much better at spotting blood spots than me.
We gave up looking after ~ 3 hours.

I got the rifle as a 30-06. I put on a used 270 barrel, used stock, used action, used sling, but the VX1 scope was sent new as a replacement from Leupold for an old vari X 2x7 that the reticle fell down.
