Hunting & Fishing 2010 Midwest Calling Event

A Pic from our first day results in the St. Francis KS calling contest... 9 down and we ended up getting 3 more the next day so a total of 12. We had to travel 3 hrs to check in so lost a few good hours of hunt time. check in was at 3pm so not quite 2 full days of hunting.

Ended up getting 3rd in the predator sniper class (If I remember right, 8 won the sportsman class). There were 88 teams in the sniper class and I think 65 in the sportsman class.

2nd place had 13 and the 1st place team got 19.

Temps were minus 17 starting the first day and rose to the teens. 2nd day prduced temps in the 20's-30's.

what is the sniper class vs the sportsmans class?

the sportmans class is kind of a starting out class for competition calling and it does not cost as much to get in that portion.

Very nice work. Called this event a few years back, great time with the exception of a indecent with stolen property. All ended well though.
Brent puts on a pretty well organized event.

Hey Skinney, I missed one on Sun at 300yds or we would have won second. Still kickin myself over that one. Copper forgot to mention that out of all the yotes shot (I think it was somewhere around 600-700) we had the biggest, 40.2#. That was kinda neat, plus we got some $ for that to.

right on, nice work guys, thats alot of dogs to get dead, especially when you got to go 3hrs to check in, i got a couple guys that live close to me that were in the contest i think they ended up with 8, good luck @ your next contest.
