Email sent 11/8 out to those who contacted me already. Anyone not get it let me know.

*Emails and Info have been sent to those who have registered already. If you did not receive an email let me know.

Figured it would be best to start a new thread for this. More details will follow next week as we are still getting more demos and info squared away but have enough info to post up the details. Huge shout outs to @Eliteuas for his initial work in getting this shoot going and helping out with the shoot and some cool raffles and products he is going to be bringing out for us on the 14th, to @DownRangeThermal for supporting us and sending out targets for the thermal guys to use and demo up, @jwramp for getting the flyer made up and coming out to get us some epic photo and video of the shoot and demos, @NIGHT VISION INC for sending us some goodies for the shoot, and @thundervalleyprecision for getting us squared away for range use. We can start taking people to register for the event.

- Come and enjoy the company of like minded people from all around. This is a function aimed and allowing people to check out all sorts of products in a meet & greet style. We will have target engagements to 1000yrds, NV and Thermal Targets, Product reviews and
demos. We will have areas of LR shooting, and Carbine/Pistol areas and cold fire sessions for laser/light & gear reviews. This is designed to be a fun and informative gathering allowing us all regardless of cost of equipment to attend, use there equipment, meet and see other products you may want or upgrade to, and learn a little about many products first hand though some demonstrations of them side by side. There is going to be some neat stuff on hand, and we are working on getting more so that we have a wide range of products available. More details to come next week. Feel free to share this via facebook or instagram. ** this is a suppressor only shoot** sorry but that's the way it has to be to get that many people shooting until early morning. Anyone that wanted to attend and does not have one contact me and well see how we can help. I'll have a number of rifles on hand that you can use (bring your ammo) to help get people to be able test out the products there.

9/29 - We are all set up to go. Some updated info.
Hotels in the area are as follows.
Hampton Inn Cambridge 8775 Georgetown Road, Cambridge, OH 43725 ( south of range) approx. 25 min away
Hampton Inn Newcomerstown 200 Morris Crossing, Newcomerstown, OH 43832 ( north of range ) approx. 25min away

Vortex is involved and sending optics for demo use behind clip ons.
Working on steiner demos currently
Working on Holosun Ir lasers, we are getting some models for the event.
Have a Modular Attachment Platform Built for T&E of any products sent up. Will be able to multiple lasers/lights/LRF, and clip-ons/Thermals. We should have a good side by side comparison of many products from one viewing area at multiple ranges. Check out the ones coming for demo, or bring your own and mount them up. Pics Below

Fuck yeah JW let’s go with the Recon/ Sniper Foundation. I’ve received a few great recommendations but I think that’s fitting with the nature of the event. Could you PM me your number?

Also guys, by Monday I’ll have the raffle details on how to collect, and also reimburse funds should we not meet the goal. I’m thinking check is the best way as there is no fees. I’ll keep a live tally in this thread. So far we have a commit to two raffle tickets.

Thanks
Felipe
I'm in for one sir 😎

I have to say the idea of organizing & planning a large event on the topic of Night Shooting is going to be a handful. For those of you behind the idea.

1st off, my hats off to you.
2nd this is a pretty cleaver way to introduce, educate, network and yes generate sales in this sector.
3rd Night Shooting Report Tab = Great 1st hand experience.

Unfortunately my revenue stream controls my off the grid time.
I'm pretty sure that you will have plenty on talent & experience on site.
Be safe

Whats the best airport to fly into?

Id have to do some checking. Id guess your half way between Pittsburgh INtl. and Colubus Intl. respectively. We could possibly work out a pick and ride out from Pitt for ya ? I know there is a small scale county airport only a few min from the range but don't know about plane size there ? I can do some checking. Feel free to call and we can discuss some options. Or hit Eliteuas up in the above post.

Brother if you fly into MDT (Harrisburg international ) it’s a few hour drive but we can road trip up, I got 2 spots in my Passat left haha

you get your tickets yet? What time you flying in?

im bring that 22lr if i can make it. Bad boy cold bored a plate at 300 yards last night. 13 mils of elevation with a 50 yard zero! So fun to shoot!

Just now heard of this event and I live less than 2-hours from Thunder Valley. How did that happen?!? Anyway, I was wanting to do a night hunt the same night, before a Veteran's only pheasant hunt the next day, but couldn't get my hands on any NV. Maybe I'll have to come out to this.

Looks like a lot of like minded folks will gather for this event. Once again Bravo Zulu for those who brainstormed this rally point. How it pays out is sure to be a major win win. Wisdom guided by experience = increased knowledge for the night shooter. My envy for the folks who have the privilege of gathering around that camp fire,,, keep an open mind. The learning process never stops.
Snipers Hide is an excellent source for true data.

I had an awesome time. When I found out I didn't have to work that weekend, I debated if I should go or not. I don't have any rifle suppressors, I don't shoot long range, I only have one pistol IR laser/illuminator, etc. But The invites were definitely friendly and I figured the worst case scenario is I lob some 22lr on the short range. I do have 2 40mm grenade launchers, and I had been kicking around the idea of loading glow sticks into the projectiles so that they mark the impacts, but my 50yd backyard range isn't the best for 40mm lobbing. So I quickly loaded up a dozen or so rounds and took them to the range with me.

I'm sure glad I went. Just walking around with others using NV was fun, and passing helmets around to try others goggles out was pretty interesting. After using NV in the military for years, Saturday was the first time I looked through WP tubes. It definitely was cool, but not as big of a difference as everyone seems to make about it. They are definitely an upgrade, but I'm extremely happy with my GP goggles and mono. The thermal imagers is a whole different thing. JW's Pulsar unit was very impressive, especially for the size and price. Felipe's FLIR unit was unreal, seeing the bullets trace through the air was awesome. And it was definitely smaller than it looks in pictures.

The 40mm rounds I loaded worked decently. I was using a mixture of glow stick sizes and brands, some hardly showed up on NV, at least with my ANVIS goggles. So I will be doing some testing to find the best glow stick. Amazon also failed to deliver the Glow in the dark stickers I had ordered. My plan was to glue them to the base of the projectiles to create a dim/NV tracer that is non-pyrotechnic. Similar to the "streak glow tracers" they sell for pistols. Next time... I had a blast just letting others shoot the launchers. Always fun to put smiles on other people's faces. It would have been a lot better with a NV capable sight. Next time I'll have to buy or borrow my buddy's PSQ-18 so that we can actually hit near the targets.

Thanks to everyone that helped contribute to this event. I really hope we do it again, sooner than later. And thanks to all who let me check out their gear. I'm already shopping for a decent scope and a rifle can.

-Jake

Message to all who attended the night shoot:

I may have left my Feisol carbon fiber tripod with ball head at this event... finally going through all my stuff and can't seem to locate it... anyone seen it?
