Night Vision 2021 Long Range Night Shoot OH | Nov 6

Have found some interest in doing our little east coast night shoot / demo again at the Thunder Valley Precision range on November 6, 2021. Last time (photos) we had a bunch of NV clip-ons and illuminators to compare and shoot out to 1000yd, and this time we'll be adding a bunch more thermal devices, thanks to Boris at Bering Optics. This was last year's thread.

Here's a little flyer to pass around if you know folks that would like to come out, and please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have a product you'd like to demo out there. I'll update this post once the list of vendors/suppliers is finalized. We'll have Vortex demo optics and filters and goggles from the guys at Low Light Innovations for sure.

This isn't a training event or something we're trying to raise funds at, just a group of like-minded folks getting to take advantage of the great facility and be able to shoot after dark to distance. Thunder Valley Precision is in Kimbolton, OH (map) - between Columbus and Pittsburgh.

Planning to kick things off at 4pm, and dinner is included in the $60 range fee. All gunfire after 5:30pm will have to be suppressed. Sign up using this form online and either PP me your fee or bring it along in cash.

There are a few south in Cambridge that are reasonable. Comfort in and holiday Inn express were both pretty clean and reasonable when I stayed there. I can't remember but about 30 min south. There is one north as well about the same distance but haven't stayed there. I'll get some info and post it up shortly

I'd say definitely. Last time I let a guy borrow my pvs-14 for most of the night, and another guy loaned his pvs-7 for a while. Plus a bunch of demo devices to check out

Yes and yes. Will be a mix of thermally reflective targets, heating up steel and having folks run around downrange with side by sides likely. Live fire out to 1000 all night as long as it’s suppressed. Loud stuff before sunset. 50-100yd pistol/carbine bay along the side good for the same.

Wish I could come, this falls during a maintenance outage at work though

I will try to attend and will be signing up. I have a hunt scheduled that weekend in Canada but as you all have heard they've been real buttholes with covid and vaccination so I may not be going depending on their status. If I can't make the night shoot I'll just donate the range fees for next year's event!

This was an amazing event last year, if you can make it I highly recommend it. This facility is absolutely incredible! Some very knowledgeable and kind men will be there, and you'll learn a lot!

Most likely Tom and or his wife, This is my home range for LRP rifle, 1 hour 20 min drive for me.

There will be an open range day before the event through TVP. You can shoot all day there if you wish until 3pm for $20. We will be there early as well to shoot some too. So if you want to go out well spot ya and get you out too or past 1k.
