If you've ever wanted to try out a Run and Gun match, there are still some slots for the upcoming "Run For Your Life" Run and Gun next month at the incredible Lucas Oil Ranch in Cross Timbers, MO. This is one of the best matches of the year, hands down. It is halloween themed with all the shenanigans and fun targets that you would expect and a costume contest! There is a 10km TEAM centerfire match on Saturday and a 5km individual rimfire match on Sunday. Note: There is NO requirement that you actually run the entire thing, or even any part of it. Roughly half of all participants just hike from start to finish.
The Saturday 10k will be a full value match with rifle shots from 5 yards out to ~800 yards. A .223 rifle will be adequate to make hits.
The Sunday 5k is a rimfire event and family friendly. Kids as young as 10 have run this event in the past (with parental supervision, of course)
