Having trouble getting this bullet to shoot in this case; 26" 1/10 twist barrel. Would welcome any insight on starting loads, seating depth, and other magic needed to make this combination work.
My load is:
WW Brass, neck turned, & trimed to spec.
WLRM primer
78.6gr. H-1000
Moly'd 208 A-Max
2.910" to ogive. will fit a 3.6 magazine. Has a long jump.
2953 ave. from 26" 1in 10"
Thanks for the info; need to go back in my log book and see what I've tried, velocities look familiar but I can't get them to give me a good group. So far I've tried RL 22, RL 25, 4831SC, and Western Magnum. I'm also not so sure I may not have a scope heading south as well.
You need to figure out the scope issue before putting much more time into finding a load. Time and components will disappear quickly with too many variables. Not to mention you'll get frustrated much sooner.
RL-22 and 4831 should have given you some decent groups, depending upon the charge weights you've tried.
