208 AMAX

Can 208 AMAX bullets be loaded to mag lenght in a 308? (FNAR Mag) If so any load data?

It can be done, but if you are going to load them that short it may be better to stick with the 175's. The 208 is loooonnnggg.

I have a box of 208's and a pound of RE17 waiting on the bench.

The 20 or so I measured ran about 1.53x something long, loaded properly in a 30-06 (base of bearing surface at the base of the neck) they go 3.5" OAL easily.

So my question would be.....what does .30-06 have to do with .308 in an FNAR?
