Hand loads 22 ARC



62 Eld VT, has anyone had issues getting this bullet to produce good groups?

AR platform 16”

Faxon 6.5 Grendel BCG

Quality barrel

The rifle in question will shoot the following sub Moa.

• 53 Gr Vmax 2900-3400 fps all good
• 73 Gr Berger BT Target 2750-2900 fps
• 75 Gr Eld M. 2800-2900 fps

The rifle will not shoot the 62 Gr Eld VT

I have attempted 3 primer types. Cases are a mix of Hornady 22 arc. Hornady 6.5 grendel converted.



Powders used in various charge weights

• CFE223 - worst groups
• Varget
• N135
• H135

I'm assuming 7 twist. Using mixed brass is probably not helping. I've had multiple ARs not like cfe 223 and tighten up with h335. Might be worth a shot. And sort your brass.

Appreciate the info. I’ll give H335 a try. The brass has been separated into groups. The brass doesn’t change the outcome of groups. Should have worded that differently. Merely wanted to clarify the problem is with both brass types.
