Hey all - would like to ask who is running 69gr - 77gr projectiles in a 22 Creedmoor? Am particularly interested in accuracy, twist rate, speed and barrel length from those who are in the know. I am getting ready to do a build to shoot projectiles of the above mentioned weight range. Any advice is much appreciated. Cheers

Top right of page... Search function very useful. That being said...

Not quite the weights you asked about but I use a 8 twist for both 75 grain hornady and 80.5 Berger’s. The 80.5 Berger reminds me of the 140 hybrid, hard to get a easier bullet to load, amazing accuracy with everything I have tried with it

@jmw what velocity are you getting with the 80.5's <load data> and have you shot any game with them? I'm contemplating getting an 8 twist prefit for both of those bullets to put the whoop ass on coyotes.

We have killed yotes and deer with the 80.5 Berger’s, not really used the 75s, shot a few of them when the barrel was new, but started using the Berger’s and never looked back. Very effective. My daughter killed 2 deer with them last year both just over 400 yards, both good shot placement, the one went maybe 10 yards and the other about 30. Lungs were destroyed in both

I am using 41gr h4350, 3425 mv, the barrel is a 22” benchmark carbon with a 6.5 ultra nine. Sounds like a 22

Thanks for the info jmv. You obviously built the rifle with the purpose of hunting in mind, which is what I will be doing. I am wanting to build the barrel around the projectile (instead of picking a projectile to suit the barrel). Am leaning towards a 1 in 9 twist to suit the 69gr TMK. I already have a very nice 25-06 that shoots the 75 Vmax with deadly effect. Am aiming for a 24" barrel - due to the idiots in our government here in Australia, restricting the use of suppressors. Love the looks of your build - awesome.
