On the hunt for a nice 22 mag carbine with a capacity larger than 10 rds. I have seen the Ruger and CZ offerings. Any others I am missing? May go with the Ruger/Mag research. Looks like a fun plinker.

Let me rephrase, looking for semi-auto rifle in 22 mag. Something in an AR platform would be great. The nearest I can find in the CZ model unless I go Ruger and go aftermarket stock etc. Kinda new to the rifle world. Excuse my ignorance. Thanks for all the feed back.

No ignorance at all.
I know of no 22 Mag AR types but nothing would surprise me. Most folks are not wanting to blast away with expensive 22 mag ammo in an AR.
HK made an accurate but odd looking 22 Mag. HK 300. The Iowa outfit Volquartsen makes a Ruger clone super accurate .22 Mag.
Ruger made one. KIDD does not last I checked. Marlin might have made one.

Thanks, I'll take a look.

I have a Ray-vin (brandes) .22 mag upper with a 16" gm bbl, over a year old now, 15 rd mag cap. She's an accurate lil banshee and runs flawless with a Ce 1.5 lb ar trigger. I'll post some pics and build details when I get back home and settled in. ?

Frik, forgot have a dinner engagment tonite. Here's some quick pics...sitting on my old m&p 15 lower. Plain jane a1 flash hider really just used to get my length further out from the clip-ons.

Comes with a spring and buffer kit for carbine and rifle length tubes, as well as a spacer for a carbine buffer if needed for tuning, as the buffer he provides are slightly heavier than a standard carbine buffer. I have had zero issues cycling using 35gr cci a22 which this barrel absolutley loves. Chronied at 2100fps avg, same as my buddies 18" tube same upper.

Mags are black dog with a last round bolt hold open.

Actually a bit much, really prefer it with the pinnacle tube co mr, considering the max range of the .22 mag.

Hope this helps, just a little gun porn.

Looks like a pretty sweet setup. I'll definitely check them out.

I've always heard great things about the Ray-Vin. I know the Kel-Tec was mentioned before, but my experience with it has been better than was posted. I picked one up to keep at my property in the mountains. It's been shot a lot and ridden on ATV's, tractors as well as carried in a backpack and a turkey vest without any issues.

Magnum Research makes a nice semi-auto built on the Ruger 10/22M design, only the Magnum Research seems to work much better. It's a great little rifle.

I've looked at the Mag research, they're nice. I'm trying to stay with one platform.
