Rifle Scopes .22 Trainer Scope - Vortex VIPER ??

Looking for quick opinions...

I just got my Savage TRSR.... looking for a good scope to just do some cheap practice.

I am looking at the VORTEX Vipers in 6.5x24x50mm MILDOT....

Just wondering if that will be a good .22lr scope..

I have the 44mm version on a 308. It does the job fine, i have no complaints besides that it does not have a mildot since I bought one of the discounted models. I beleive it will be fine for a trainer

Looks like a good scope.. and only about $399 at Midway..

I've got the 50mm with the MD and the 44mm with the BDC and they are very good scopes. Track true, AO works well and the glass is pretty good. They are pretty large scopes and that's my only concern, matching their size to the rifle they go on. I personally probably wouldn't put one on a carry around hunting rifle but I have these on two target setups and they are a good match for that.
