Okay never had a mag before but just picked one up at auction stainless for .260$. It's in really good shape. I'll get a dip 20 moa rail for it, and a buck master 6-18x40 mil dot. When comes to ammo what are you guys shooting?? Need a cheap accurate load for
Plinking shooting far and one for hunting g hogs, fox, turkeys?? What should I test first.

Re: .22 win mag marlin

for my marlin 30 gr hornady worked the best. if using for turkey, etc. 40 gr fmj CCI for penetration.

the ol' 34 grain winchester supremes are nice on paper and squirrel too, but lack the penetration for ethical use on turkey.

i've tried the CCI gamepoint as i figured as they are designed just like centerfire hunting bullets, but they just didn't group as well as i would have liked for consistant hits.

just like the .22LR, you gotta run different ones through to see what it likes.
