223 Freebore

I am looking to get a new barrel in 223 and will be shooting 75gr or less bullets. I know the ELD bullets I have will require some extra freebore over the standard Saami spec. I am thinking the Wylde freebore of .0619 would be just about right. What do you guys think?

Do it, its a fine choice and basically why it was created, a perfect catch all

Yup go Wylde. I run 75 ELDs in a Wylde chamber and works great. Use a MDT mag and you can load .020” off.

I only have 223 rem go-no go gauges, will they work on a Wylde chamber or should I pich up a new set?

The headspace between the 223 Rem and the Wylde chambering are the same. The freebore/throat are what is different.

Use what you have.

Ok I was thrown off when i saw they offer a separate gauge for the Wylde chamber. Its probably the same part number.
