Hey guys i just picked up a bushnell ar 223 with bdc half price on sale and was wondering how it would go on a .22.. not sure if you could match the bdc to a rimfire fire but how do you think this will go?

the BDC reticle wont match up.....but it will still function like a normal scope.

a rough estimate for the BDC reticle with a 100yd zero:

100yds on the .223 reticle = 100yds .22lr
200yds on the .223 reticle = 125yds .22lr
300yds on the .223 reticle = 150yds .22lr
400yds on the .223 reticle = 175yds .22lr
500yds on the .223 reticle = 210yds .22lr

Guess ill have to play around with it.. plan on grabbing another scope in the future but i couldnt pass up such a bargin.. thank for the reply

I have an old school Elcan M145 on my 22lr Ar15 and I use the BDC reticle. You will have to play with it, but you can definitely work for you with a little practice.

Yeah that was my thinking also.. it may not line up exactly but should be able to moderatly scale trajectory down to within an acceptable range.

Assuming you might actually want to use the main strada at 25 or 50 those might not pan out that way.

I’d just map the reticle by shooting old school. It doesn’t take much work

Yeah true.. it wont be too much of a hassle.. ill probably end up getting another scope when funds allow but for the price i couldnt knock it back
