After doing some long range testing, I'm calculating a g7 bc closer to .360 which is quite less than what they advertize. Even trying the multiple bc didn't add up. It's very accurate in my gun though. I'm shooting a 300nm with a 26 inch 1:10 barrel. Avg mv is 2980fps.

The method they used for determining the BC, doppler radar, is far more accurate than shooting it and reverse engineering it as there are other things introduced in that like scope tracking. If that is what is working in your rifle then use that BC but all the ELDs I have used the BCs have held true so i would have a hard time believing the 225 would be that far off.

Scope tracks great. I've shot it out to 2087 yards verified now.

I 've measured everything to death & my observed DOPE just doesn't match up with ANY of my software. Before rebarreling my 300WM I had FFS dialed in with the 230gr Berger within 1 click from freezing @ near sea level to 100* in high NM. I have a whole thread in this in the ballistics software section. Had 60 some posts in it last I looked. This bullet just isn't cooperating... shooting way flatter than the numbers say it should.

You did a full tracking test out to the amount of elevation used to those ranges? Also elevation in scope is just one of the possible reasons and I only mentioned it as it's one that people assume works and it's usually a culprit especially at 2000+ yards.

As you see a couple others have to up the BC for their use. BC is not going to be perfect with every rifle but the tested BC is correct for the bullet as it's not tested using reverse engineered data off shooting. So use the number that works for you to make hits and the others use what works for them and you will all get hits.
