Re: 22lr ammo testing

remember to clean the barrel after each type of ammo. You don't want the lube to affect the next type of ammo. You have a fine assortmant of ammo and may not get this done in one day. That will also affect the results of the test as condisions are a part of a test for accuracy at long range. If you can set the rifle in a make shift machine type rest, it would eliminate some sighting errors that could occur from sitting at the bench for an extended period of time. All in all, you may only find out what your rifle likes, rather than which is the most consistant ammo out there. If there was a "best" ammo, you would think that it would be the only ammo you could buy, considering it would be all that was used by those that shoot match. In reality, each has it's nitch and searves each shooter or firearm. A nobal indever but may not have a real 1st place

Re: 22lr ammo testing

i plan on running all of it through a chrono all in one day and cleaning between each type of ammo and i am only after the ammo that works the best in my particular gun

I actually studied that quite a bit and I really wanted to try out the lapua polar biathlon but I set the price at 10.99 for a reason and that is when I buy in bulk I am reloading 50 rounds of 308 for around 15.00 and that kinda defeats the point for me to have trainer so I need to keep the cost down on the ammo but I want the most accuracy out of the gun and that is the reason for the test. Sorry for the grammar I am on a flip phone
