Has anyone done a review of all of the 22LR bolt conversions by putting them all head to head on which is better if there is a better one??

And whats the perks of the stainless vs the original 22LR bolt conversions??

Re: 22LR Bolt Conversions...

Personally, I think it's mostly hype, after they're broken in.
As far as I can tell, all of the Atchisson bolts are more or less equivalent.
CMMGs ALL get shot before shipping, and MAY be better extracting unfired rounds. And the newest ones have cotterpin retention of the firing pin, rather than a roll pin.
Individual units of all manufacturers may have issues.
Due to numbers produced, Atchissons are the de facto standard, you'd need a smoking deal to get one of the out of production types like Colt, DPMS, Bushmaster, Air Force. There are some advantages of the M-261 as produced by Oly.

I feel the CMMG/Black dog models are the best due to the mags being the same dimensions as their .223 counterparts.

This makes for a true training unit where you can utilize your .223 web gear.

I have read the stainless versions are better for long runs between cleanings. I want to have mine hard chromed to see if it helps when running through a lot of suppressed fire. Maybe it will run longer before a malfunction occurs.
