Thinking of finding a brake to put on the Vudoo. Not really for recoil mitigation. Really more for protecting the crown and well IMO they can look bad ass and who doesnt want a bad ass looking rifle. But has anyone really found any downsides to putting one on a 22 or is it just personal preference?

Yep. And the Vudoo ships with a muzzle protector that'll protect the crown... I actually had my rifle fall off a barrel muzzle end into concrete.. luckily it just whacked the muzzle protector and no damage to the crown...

I've seen some rare occassions that the muzzle protector itself opened someone's groups and they actually took off the muzzle protector and put some tape around the threads... but yes you can fool around with different muzzle devices and see which groups the best. You could also just buy a tuner.

Pain in the rear to clean as well. Looks cool for a while until you realize the carbon build up is encroaching your bullet path.

ANY weight on your barrel changes your harmonics.

I’ve gone back to either a plain thread protector or suppressor on my 22s. One less variable to account for in the accuracy game as 22 does not produce enough gas volume for effective brake action.

You'll never be in my squad if you run a brake. Thats called being an asshole. Seriously its a 22. I have a 3 pound Mk2. Still doesn't recoil. Yada yada match my comp rifle. Lol gtfo.

Suppressor or bare muzzle. Or get laughed at. Your call.
Damn its like that lol. Now I'm going to go find a thread adapter to put a 50 cal brake on it.

The cans are fine, I was referring to the brakes being a pain to clean, especially the vias style with the internal carbon build up
