Does anyone have any experience or info with this cartridge?
I bought a bunch of boxes from Bullets.com when they closed. My plan was to build a 270wby 8 twist for these... and I did. However the barrel DID NOT like these bullets, it did love 150 ABLR and 7828 at 3350 .
My next devious maniacal plan is to build a 27 Nosler.
I think 26 or 28 Nosler bushing dies will work but have considered custom dies.

Any info is appropriate. Thanks.

A 27 Nosler is shorter from the base to the shoulder than a 26 or 28 Nosler. If you want to use 26 or 28 Nosler dies, you will have to build a 27 wildcat instead of a SAAMI 27 Nosler.

Thanks.
My first 26 and my present 28 Nosler barrels run on RL33. I switched to H50BMG for my present 26N barrel.
I was expecting 33 to work for the 27N, I'm glad it is working good in your barrel.

No probs,it’s far and away the best for powder for the heavies.
Retumbo kicks ass with the 150ABLR too in my rifle.
Another thing I will mention is the saami spec 27 nosler reamer has a very short freebore,I recommend having it throated a touch longer if you decide on the 165-170 class bullets.

If I use the Rem 700 action as planned I will install a Wyatt's mbe-3. If things change change and I choose a Savage action I modify the mag box slightly, but the Wyatt's is easier and they usually come out at 3.840" even though they are advertised as 3.825".

I have been running a 27 nosler for a few years,26/28 dies won’t work.RCBS makes 27 nosler dies that are readily available.
Had better luck sizing 26 nosler brand brass than I did necking down 28 nosler Bertram brass.
170 Berger eol@3200 with RL33
When sizing the body of 26N cases did much of the body and shoulder get pushed into the neck area?
Seems like neck turning is a mandatory procedure making 27N brass... I usually skim turn most lots of brass anyway.

Were there donut issues after a few firings?

No kidding! Just ordered my barrel, I asked the smith what his reamer freebore is? .000" !!!!

Getting dies in tomorrow. I'm going to send in a 170 Berger seated with the boat tail at the neck/shoulder junction so he can throat it correctly.
I ordered Norma 26 Nosler brass. Im a little bit hesitant because I always size down and then neck turn so I hope I made the right choice. But if I know RCBS dies they over size the neck so by necking up it might make neck tension better from the thinner necks.

Looking at SAAMI, it is a 1.5° lead which will put 'some' bearing surface ahead of the neck but not much.

I sized some new Norma 26N and they sized well. Neck tension is almost perfect
