I am getting ready to reload some sierra gameking 130grain spitzer. I have not bought any powder yet. Are any of you reloading this bullet for hunting. IF so some info would be greatly appreciated.

I think H4831SC is a great powder and I use a lot of it but in my 270 Winchester it's IMR 8208 XBR.

Re: .270 hunting load?

I am using h4831 pushing a 150gr hornady stt with good results. Shoots moa out of a old ruger m77. Even had good luck with a elk a couple years ago with that load. Shot placement is king, got one that went right through the heart. Turned it into jello.

H4831 or H4831SC......oh wait, that's what everyone else already said!

Personally I like the 150gr Nosler Partition, but that's so I can go after Elk as well.
