3 Day Sniper Class

A fast paced course, it will begin with a small refresher of basic skills and rapidly transition
into the more complex curriculum listed below. This course is designed for the marksman who wants to significantly expand their abilities for tactical/practical purposes.
Key Topics covered:
• Basics of Marksmanship/ Advanced marksmanship
• Cold bore data and zeroing of the weapon system
• Employing the Milliradian reticule for range estimation
• Understanding MOA and milliradian angular units of measure
• Positional shooting
• Estimating range and observation skills building exercises
• Working with a partner as a spotter/shooter
• Practical stress shoot exercises/ engaging unknown distance targets
• Shot placement
• Data gathering out to 1000 yards
• Internal and external ballistics
• Understanding of environmental effects on external ballistics
• Use of ballistic computers and analog methods of calculating in the field
• wind reading and Shooting on an angle
HARDWARE/KIT
Rifle- Bolt or semi-automatic in Calibers .223 and up. Magnums are
welcome - but it is important to have a rifle that YOU can shoot well
for up to 100 rounds per day. If you must bring a Magnum or any other
heavy recoiling rifle, consider a muzzle brake for recoil reduction.
* Please be sure to verify your rifle's accuracy prior to the school.
1 inch at 100 yards or less is preferred. A little over that will
still allow you to run through the course. If you do not have a rifle
that meets the above requirements please call and we will be glad to
discuss ways we may be able to help.
Scope- Quality optics with magnification of 10x or more. Must have
externally adjustable elevation and windage knobs. A ranging reticle
is recommended, but not mandatory
