Is there any reason why one wouldn't want to use a 3 lug mount intended for a 9mm can on a .22lr(ar15), .32 acp(vz-61), or .300 blk(ar15) (subsonic only). I mean aside from verifying you can shoot .300 blk (sub) through it.

There is no reason on why you can't use a 3 lug on calibers outside of 9mm.
