I had just enough time to get to my spot and shoot 20 rounds and eat lunch today. In between spotting rounds for myself, fielding 3 phone calls, and cooking a gourmet meal I managed to make a few hits at 1,400. Pretty nice lunch break.
Yeah - the white speck (MGM Precision Target) to the left of the tree in part of the draw.
I caught a wind read off a cloud moving past at eye level that was the exact opposite of what I needed. The wind was blowing up the draw I was shooting across. The correct hold was actually .8 - 1.8 MILs the same direction the wind was blowing - yeah. You can see in the next pic which is about 2/3 of the distance and looking back at the shooting position all of the draws that the air mass moves over as well. Obviously it comes up the final draw and boils back pretty hard. This is only the second time I have shot in this spot so I am still trying to figure it out. Spotting for yourself when it is wet and dirt doesn't kick up is a pain.
My 4 course meal:
I want to call it 9 hits but I don't really know that the one at the bottom of the COM door is legit. So 8/20 is what I calling it for the day.
Good luck
