Pretty much says it all... I need the three (I thought it was two but whatever) roll pins that go through the lower and the block. Does somebody make 'em or do I just order a few generic pins close to the size and cut/fit after installing?

If anyone who has ever installed these has some pointers, I'd be all for that too.

Planning on using an already registered Mega lower if it matters. It fits it pretty snug and should make installation easier.

Still waiting on JP for the barrel, bolt and buffer assy. but I'd like to get the pins in hand and some suggestions first.

Yeah, so I didn't realize this hadn't even been up a day yet, my bad... Consequences of insomnia I guess.

But thanks, I think the first one is exactly what I'm looking for! I've looked for it but couldn't find it, didn't know what to call it so I was just searching for "Colt 9mm adapter roll pins" and the like and coming up with pages of everything but.

So it's a one piece block, has the ejector installed. I've seen 'em drilled with three pins but since found out the one piece uses only two pins.

Don't think I need the other one, that's for the two piece units? Or just to pin the ejector.

I got the pins out of the way now.

I'd like some pointers on installing one if anyone here has done it. I mean, it's pretty straight forward and I'm sure there are some videos on it but if anyone has tips/tricks, hey, I'll take 'em.

Yeah, Colt SMGs had three pins through the lower. Your block didn't come with any kind of drilling template?
Think I'd want to use three pins just to make it easier to replace ejectors should the need arise.

Could scale these pics (from wikipedia) 1:1, print 'em out, and use them as templates:

Well, that's not the problem. From what I can tell the two piece units had three pins, the one piece units only have two. And it doesn't really matter EXACTLY where the holes go --they just have to go roughly in the right place. Through the solid parts of the block. What's more important, from what I've read, is that it works prior to pinning and that when you drill it that it doesn't move.

They don't come with shit. They don't even come with the damn roll pins, instructions, nothing. Sure it's meant for gunsmith installation but a pair of pins and a drawing with a couple x's would have been nice I think.

I'm considering using a pair of vice clamps and leather pieces to clamp the block in place once it's working and while I drill it. That's what I'd like to know from those that have done it --what did you do to keep it from slipping out of place? Or is it not really a problem because the mag release and friction sorta keep it there well enough to do the deed?

Think you'll ever need to remove the block? You could glue (epoxy) it into the lower and drill straight through once the adhesive is cured.
Or, how about drilling an undersized hole through one side of the lower (where you need a hole anyway), tapping it for a set screw, and fitting a pointed screw to hold the block in place. Drill the other hole and pin it, then drill through the first hole for the second pin.

Did you ever finish this project? I'm considering similar, but am stuck on how to test if it works prior to pinning...

Also can't find the springs in stock anywhere, which I think colt used when drilling to make sure it would remain parallel with the lower.
