300 AAC BLK Brass Preference

Hi all. I have a mix of Lake City and Winchester 5.56 brass that I'm considering converting to 300 BLK. It seems that folks converting brass seem to prefer using the Lake City; is there an issue with using the Winchester? A co-worker gave me 300+ empty cases so I'd like to not waste it. Thanks for the help.

Winchester should be fine. Only issue brass is some of the foreign brass has thick case walls that then turn into thick necks so when you load it exceeds the max OD of the loaded round.

One advantage to using GI brass, and this is minor, is there are nothing on it that says .223 or 5.56
