While doing research on this cartridge, I came across a thread on the forum that mentioned that using this ctg. in PMags required filing on the front ribs due to the bullet being in contact with the rib and causing chambering issues.
One of the reasons I'm interested in this round is the ability to use unaltered, standard 5.56 mags.
Now, I don't own a single PMag, but I'm well stocked with GI aluminum mags. Is this a problem that is limited to PMags, due to their construction, or does it apply to all 5.56 mags?
I have to say, being able to use the wide array of available .308 bullets in an interchangeable AR15 platform is very appealing. But I can't go modifying all these mags, it's just not worth the effort. I hope it's a non issue.
Thanks for any info guys.
