300 PRC Recommended barrel twist

I have been debating on getting a 300 PRC and finally ordered a barrel for my Desert Tech. Proof Research Carbon fiber 26” 1-10” twist. I was reading about the round and I kept reading a 1-8” twist recommendation. My GAP 300 WSM has a 1-10” Bartlein and it shoots 190gr+ bullets excellent. So someone please tell me the 10” twist barrel will be more than ok?

1:10 will work for 300 prc, but you’ll be limited on bullet selection.
If you want to shoot the 250 grain a-tip or similar long bullets you’ll want the 1:8 to optimize stability at long range.

Really depends on what bullet you want to use.

1in9 is about the most useful.

Is your intention to run monolithics or jacketed projectiles?
IF jacketed..which ones exactly?
IF mono...which weight AND brand? Because not all weights are created equal from all brands in regards to the bearing surfaces.
