300 ultra mag data?

Does any on have a good load? I have only been able to get with an 180gr and 200gr 2900 to 3089 max before I start getting over pressure sings. I don’t wont to go with a lighter bullet my barrel is a 1-10 28"
I would have stayed with a 300wby or a 300 win mag if that is all I can get out of it.

Have you checked Hodgdon's web site? they will let you use their data free of charge, unlike most other powder and bullet companys,
they show 3300fps with 180s and 100.5grmax load with retumbo

Factory Remington 180 grain Swift Scirroco load averaged 3350 out of the factory barrel I used to have on my .300 Ultra. Since I had it worked over i'm getting 3100 fps with a 210gr Berger VLD (1-10, 26" Rock Creek barrel).

What is your load data? I have 210 vld bullets the retumbo powder sucked it was very dirty and the speeds were inconsistent ranging 50 to 100fps different

Berger 210 grain VLD, Remington Brass, Fed 215M, 91.5 grains Retumbo, 3067fps (I forgot that I had a load that was 3100 FPS, but backed off a little because this one shot better). ES: 27.7, STD DEV: 10.9.

200gr Nosler Accubond, 95gr Retumbo, CCI 250, Remington Brass=3280fps. Remington700, 27"Lilja 1:10

I have a factory stock Rem 700 BDL .300 RUM with a custom muzzle brake. After aprox. 500 rounds down range I found a very accurate load. I was looking for accuracy not absolute max speed. The best I came up with is Fed match primers, 200gr.nosler partition, 89gr. H-1000,Rem brass. The best off the bench 3 shot group was .55 inch. The noslers were more accurate than SMKs. I never got anything acceptable from any lighter bullets. Hope this helps !

Try US869, 240SMK, and Fed primers (more results later in the thread):

Tried it myself with CCI 250 primers -- got killer velocity (>3000fps with my 30" custom), but couldn't get very good ES/SD -- need to try the Fed primers as soon as I can find them.

I use 89.5gr of H1000 topped off with a 210gr VLD with Fed 215M primers and Nosler brass with excellent accuracy.

Holly shit Nosler brass for 300 rum! Where did you find some? All I’ve been getting is that rem shit with the neck run out averaging from .003 to .009
